Panels on Ian McLagan and Chet Flippo were exceptional. Joe Nick Patoski's wonderful documentary on Doug Sahm was another highlight, and the gathering of musicians playing Sir Doug's songs really blew me away. The Austin Music Awards presented an emotional and high- spirited tribute to Mac, with Charlie Sexton leading an exceptional band backing musical guests that ended with a rousing "Ooh La La."
