This new programming track brings together the startup, entrepreneur and investor communities under one umbrella at a prime loca- tion. Featuring various events, panels and networking opportunities, the Film Startup Alley will be the hub of the entrepreneur and fi lmmaking communities at SXSW Film. Film Crew at the SXSW 2012 Trade Show Brand new for 2013, the Come & Capture Film Factory will explore the new tools for capturing and creating content. Each day will feature panel discussions, workshops and demos, and will feature a pavilion of products for registrants to try out. Registrants are encouraged to go out and capture their experiences at SXSW, sample a range of fi lmmaking products, and even share their fi nished work through SXSW's online chan- nels, including the offi cial festival website. There's Still Time to Submit Entries to SXSW FIlm We're in the midst of our call for entries, but if you plan to submit your fi lm to SXSW Film, the Late Submission Deadline is Thursday, November 15. Please note that this deadline is a received by deadline, NOT a postmark deadline. In other words, we need to have your screener in our hands by November 15. First panels announced for SXSW 2013 We're pleased to reveal our fi rst confi rmed panels for SXSW Film 2013, including "Downloaded: The Digital Revolution," a round table event featuring documentary director Alex Winter with Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker of Napster and other special guests, as they discuss the rise and fall of Napster and the birth of the digital revolution.
