The f irst day of SXSW this year sadly
coincided with the sudden passing
of Louis Meyers, one of SXSW 's
original founders. Meyers helmed the
music festival from 1987-1994 and
developed the live showcase format
that we still use.
SXSW 2016 is dedicated to his memory.
