Transportation Crew Attire and Reminders: Transportation Crew Volunteers should  wear their SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and  tasteful bottoms. Volunteers will sometimes  be working outside, so be prepared for  changes in the weather, from hot to cold,  wet to dry and everything else in between.   Remember, Austin weather in March can  sometimes be unpredictable and dressing  in layers is a good idea. Plus, it's often cold  in the Hilton!  If you will be working before  you receive your credential (for example,  you may be waiting for a music madge, but  working during Interactive) you will need to  pick up a working volunteer day pass from  your  crew chief. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Transportation Crew: You could be transporting staff, visitors,  inanimate objects, etc., to theaters, IA  venues, music venues, and other random  places.  You must be over 21, with a valid  driver's license and insurance.  You must  be comfortable driving in crazy traffic  and maneuvering large vehicles into  small spaces. Everyone loves transpo! How to Contact the Transportation Crew: Volunteers who work on the Transpo  Crew are asked to first email the crew  chiefs if you are going to be late, miss  a shift or need other assistance, time  permitting. The Transportation Crew email  is sxtransportation@gmail.com.  For  urgent matters volunteers can call the  Transpo Crew Chief on duty while onsite at  405-TRANSPO (405-872-6776).   If it's less  than 2 hours prior to the start of your shift,  call the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if  you're going to be late or miss the shift.
