64 SXXPRESS SXXpress Crew Chiefs: Audrey, Dave, Drew SXXpress Days of Operation: March 11 - 19, 2016 SXXpress Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will  check in at SXXpress located in Exhibit Hall  5. Exhibit Hall 5 is located on the northeast  side of the Austin Convention Center (ACC). SXXpress Volunteer Responsibilities & Duties: The SXXpress Crew is responsible for  issuing all SXXpress passes, checking one's  credentials to ensure they can receive the  passes, and working together to make  sure lines are manageable and the pick-up  process runs smoothly.  The SXXpress (South by Express) is a  feature pass for the SXSW Music & Film  Festivals. These passes do not guarantee  admission to music venues or film  screenings, but give better access to those  who have them. Shift leaders for SXXpress are responsible  for managing the volunteer shift check in,  volunteer training, lunch schedule, and  helping to resolve any minor issues that may  arise when issuing passes.  SXXpress Attire and Reminders: SXXpress Volunteers should wear the SXSW  Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms.  The temperature in the Austin Convention  Center can fluctuate from cold to hot,  so we recommend bringing layers (ex.  hoodie, sweater, jacket) if you tend to get  cold and sensible footwear to keep your  feet comfortable throughout your shift.  If you will be working before you receive  your credential (for example, you may be  waiting for a music badge, but working  during Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from  Volunteer Central. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the SXXPress Crew: The SXXpress Crew can be very fast paced  in the mornings, and then it begins to slow  down towards the afternoon. The crew  chiefs ask that you be on time, or early  to your shift, as the SXXpress crew must  be prepared to issue badges as soon as  SXXpress opens. Most importantly, the  SXXpress crew is a great team and an  enjoyable crew to work on. How to contact the SXXpress Crew: If you need to contact your SXXpress Crew  Chiefs, you can email them at sxxpress@ gmail.com. During the event, you may also  call/text them on their show phone. Please  make sure to email, then call or text your  crew chiefs if you are going to miss your  shift or arrive late. If it's less than 2 hours  prior to the start of your shift, first email  your crew, then call the Flake Task Force at  (512) 404-4623 if you're going to be late or  miss the shift.
