63 SXSUPPLIES SXSupplies Crew Chiefs: Alexia, Cary, Mitch, Tia SXSupplies Days of Operation: March 6 - 19, 2016 SXSupplies Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will check in at Production Village in Exhibit Hall 5 on the northeast side of the Austin Convention Center. SXSupplies Volunteer Responsibilities & Duties: The SXSupplies Crew supports most SXSW crews by providing all types of items including, but not limited to: office supplies, gaff tape, bicycles, ponchos, and computer locks. During the load-in and load-out shifts, the volunteers will be responsible for the setup and tear down of the SXSupplies booth, inventorying items, and organizing supplies. All other shifts are during the festival and the volunteers on these shifts are responsible for dispensing supplies as needed to members of other SXSW Crews and SXSW Staff while keeping the supplies organized and inventoried. SXSupplies Shift Leaders work only during load in and load out. They assist with setting up and tearing down the SXSupplies area. They also assist in getting supplies organized, and to and from the loading areas. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the SXSupplies Crew: During the load in and load out shifts, the volunteers will be responsible for the setup and tear down of the SXSupplies booth, inventorying items, and organizing supplies. All other shifts are during the festival. Volunteers on these shifts are responsible for dispensing supplies as needed to members of other SXSW Crews and Staff while keeping the supplies organized and inventoried. This is a laid-back crew that is perfect for personable volunteers looking to be behind the scenes, away from the hustle, and off their feet. SXSupplies Attire and Reminders: SXSupplies Volunteers should wear the SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms. The crew is located in Production Village behind Volunteer Central and it can get chilly. You may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater due to the temperature in the booth. There are periods of down time during many of the shifts, so you may want to bring something to occupy your time while you hang out in the booth. If you will be working before you receive your credential (for example, you may be waiting for a music badge, but working during Interactive) you will need to pick up a working volunteer day pass from Volunteer Central. How to Contact the SXSupplies Crew: If you need to contact your SXSupplies Crew Chiefs you can email them at sxutilities@ gmail.com. If it's less than 2 hours prior to the start of your shift, first email your crew, then call the Flake Task Force at (512) 404- 4623 if you're going to be late or miss the shift.
