40 HOSPITALITY Hospitality Crew Chiefs & Staff: Brandon, Alex, Melissa, David, Chris, Bob,  Christina Hospitality Days of Operation: March 7 – 19, 2016 Hospitality Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will  check in at the Hilton Garden Inn. The  entrance is near the Hospitality sign on  the ramp closest to 5th Street and Sabine  Street. Hospitality Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: The Hospitality Crew works out of the Hilton  Garden Inn and assists with the feeding of  staff & volunteers. Volunteer duties include  checking badges, scanning QR codes,  taking to-go orders by phone or online,  making small food deliveries to staff at and  near the Austin Convention Center, and  keeping hospitality areas clean and tidy. Hospitality Crew Attire and Reminders: Hospitality Volunteers should wear the  SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful  bottoms. Some duties require being outside  so check the weather forecast daily and  dress accordingly. Wearing comfortable  shoes and socks are recommended.  If  you will be working before you receive  your credential (for example, you may be  waiting for a music badge, but working  during Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from your crew  chief. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Hospitality Crew: Hospitality is defined as the friendly and  generous reception and entertainment  of guests, visitors, or strangers. It's an  opportunity to encounter the many faces of  SXSW, so a good attitude and a smile goes  a long way. Hospitality sometimes utilizes  bicycles to assist with the delivery of food  to working staff and crews who are unable  to break away from their posts. We promote  a relaxed atmosphere and have a lot of fun  while doing it! How to Contact the Hospitality Crew: Volunteers who work on the Hospitality  Crew are asked to first email the crew chiefs  if you are going to be late, miss a shift or  need other assistance, time permitting.  The Hospitality Crew email is sxhospitality@ gmail.com.  If it's less than 2 hours prior to  the start of your shift, email your crew, then  call the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if  you're going to be late or miss the shift.
