39 HIGH BEAM EVENTS High Beam Events Crew Chiefs: Faith, Kyla, Sue, Jessica, Elisabeth, Jerry,  Ed, Chelsea High Beam Events Days of Operation: March 7 – 19, 2016 High Beam Events Check In: Volunteers check in at their assigned venue.  Venue assignments vary each shift, so  check your Shiftboard schedule frequently.  High Beam Events Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: Checking badges/guest lists/RSVPs and  monitoring capacity at the doors of official  events put on by High Beam. Duties may  also include monitoring emergency or load- in entrances and exits, helping with light  event set-up (hanging banners, setting up  chairs, or table decorations), or passing out  promotional items or giveaways. High Beam Events Attire and Reminders: High Beam Events Volunteers should wear  their volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms.  Volunteers will sometimes be working  outside so be prepared for changes in the  weather, from hot to cold, wet to dry, and  everything else in between.  Remember,  Austin weather in March can sometimes  be unpredictable and dressing in layers is  a good idea.  If you will be working before  you receive your credential (for example,  you may be waiting for a music badge, but  working during Interactive) you will need to  pick up a working volunteer day pass from  your crew chief. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the High Beam Events Crew: High Beam Events Volunteers must be  respectful and polite. Only partake in the  food and/or beverage is specifically invited  to do so by the client. And remember - you  can NEVER drink alcohol while on shift.  How to Contact the High Beam Events Crew: Volunteers who work on the High Beam  Events Crew are asked to first email the  crew chiefs if you are going to be late,  miss a shift or need other assistance, time  permitting. The High Beam Events Crew  email is sxhighbeam@gmail.com.  If it's less  than 2 hours prior to the start of your shift,  email your crew, then call the Flake Task  Force at (512) 404-4623 if you're going to be  late or miss the shift. Your crew chiefs will also provide the phone  numbers for them on-site.  Note: venues can  be loud, so texting is appreciated!
