38 GUEST PASS CREW Guest Pass Crew Chiefs: Cate, Jace, Luciano, Eleanor, Nathan Guest Pass Days of Operation: March 11-14, 17-19 2016 Guest Pass Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will check  in at a specific location communicated by  your crew chief and listed in your Shiftboard  schedule. Check-in locations vary depending  on your shift location. Guest Pass Volunteer Responsibilities & Duties: The Guest Pass crew has many duties at  several SXSW Official Events. The main  function is to make sure the patron has  the Guest Pass credential and explaining  to them the Guest Pass program which  includes notifying visitors of Guest Pass  events, website, and perks. The Guest Pass  Crew is responsible for checking all Guest  Pass credentials that come through any  entrances for Guest Pass events. There  will be lots of standing while on shifts  and walking between various stations.  Salesman-like communication skills and a  good attitude are a must! What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Guest Pass Crew: Guest Pass Volunteers may find it helpful  to educate themselves on the Guest Pass  program beforehand. Check out all things  Guest Pass at guestpass.sxsw.com. The  Guest Pass Crew works hard and has a lot  of fun! Guest Pass Wardrobe and Reminders: Guest Pass Volunteers should wear their  volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms. Some  Guest Pass Volunteers may be working  outdoor shifts, thus comfortable outdoor  wear (and sunscreen) is encouraged.  In the event of bad weather, volunteers  should be prepared with ponchos,  umbrellas, appropriate shoes, etc. If you  will be working before you receive your  credential (for example, you may be waiting  for a music badge, but working during  Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from your crew  chief or Volunteer Central, depending on  your shift location. How to Contact the Guest Pass Crew : If you need to contact your Guest Pass Crew  Chiefs during the event you may call them on  their SXSW Show Phone. Please make sure  to call your crew chiefs if you are going to  miss your shift or arrive late. The Guest Pass  Crew email is sxguestpass@gmail.com. If  it's less than 2 hours prior to the start of your  shift, email your crew, then call the Flake  Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if you're going  to be late or miss the shift.
