34 FILM ROADIES AND RUNNERS Film Roadies and Runners Crew Chiefs: Andre, Christina, Isaiah, Jacquee, Rita Film Roadies and Runners Days of Operation: There is a load in day in February and a load out day after the festival. The main days of operation are March 11 - 19, 2016. Film Roadies and Runners Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will check in at the Film Tech Center located at 823 Congress Ave., Ste. 1510, Austin, TX 78701. Film Roadies and Runners Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: Film Roadies and Runners operate out of the Film Tech Center - where all the SXSW official films are stored during the festival. Volunteers who work on this crew will be responsible for delivering films to venues in the most efficient manner and maintaining chain of custody documentation. Volunteers must drive responsibly and take care of SXSW property. This crew is a tight-knit crew so being respectful to crewmates is a must. Film Roadies and Runners Attire and Reminders: Film Roadies and Runners should wear their SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms. Remember, the weather in Austin fluctuates and layering is recommended because you will inside and outside delivering films. Wear comfortable shoes and socks is recommended. If you will be working before you receive your credential (for example, you may be waiting for a music badge, but working during Interactive) you will need to pick up a working volunteer day pass from your crew chief. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Film Roadies and Runners Crew: Film Roadies and Runners are constantly traveling throughout Austin, so being familiar with the city as well as traffic is a plus. Always remember it does not matter if you win by an inch or a mile, as long as the films are delivered on time. If it's less than 2 hours prior to the start of your shift, email your crew, then call the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if you're going to be late or miss the shift.
