35 FILM TRAFFIC Film Traffic Crew Chiefs: Paul, Tomi, Brent, Jeannie, Tina, Ruben Film Traffic Days of Operation: We operate for approximately 4 weeks  before the festival, March 6-20, and one  week after the festival. Film Traffic Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will  check in at the Film Traffic Center located  at 823 Congress Ave., Ste. 1510, Austin, TX  78701.  Film Traffic Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: The main function of the Film Traffic crew  is to effectively circulate the films to the  proper venues. It is our job to make sure  each film is at the right theater at the right  time for each screening. The Film Traffic  crew opens a small office downtown where  we build a temporary library of the films.  Volunteers work out of this office and  should expect to help catalogue (via basic  data entry) each film. Other basic office  organizational skills are helpful.  Film Traffic Attire and Reminders: Film Traffic Volunteers should wear the  SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful  bottoms. Please remember to wear  comfortable shoes, and to bring layers  as the Film Traffic Center can run cold. If  you will be working before you receive  your credential (for example, you may be  waiting for a music badge, but working  during Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from your crew  chief. What Else Should Volunteer Know About the Film Traffic Crew: We have a small, tight-knit crew that plays  a really important role in the festival. It's  a great crew to be on, and integral to the  success of the SXSW Film Festival. How to Contact the Film Traffic Crew: Volunteers who work on Film Traffic Crew  should email the crew chief on duty if you  are going to be late, miss a shift or need  other assistance, time permitting. The Film  Traffic Center email is sxfilmtech@gmail. com.  If it's less than 2 hours prior to the  start of your shift, email your crew, then call  the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if  you're going to be late or miss the shift.
