44 LOUNGES Lounges Crew Chiefs: Eric, Geoff, Chris, Cat, Jaime, Sanaa, Louis,  Larry, Patrick, Jen Lounges Days of Operation: March 7 – 19, 2016 Lounges Check In: During SXSWedu check in outside of  Volunteer Central in Exhibit Hall 5 in the  Austin Convention Center. During SXSW  meet at the San Jacinto Room at the top of  the stairs of the Hampton Inn at 200 San  Jacinto Blvd. Lounges Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: The Lounges Crew responsibilities are  simple, but essential. Volunteers will be  checking badges and monitoring access to  various lounges, activations, and parties.   Each location has specific requirements and  no two lounges are the same. Volunteers  will also be greeting attendees and working  with sponsors to ensure a successful event. Lounges Crew Attire and Reminders: Lounges Volunteers should wear the SXSW  Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms.  Remember both outdoor and indoor,  temperatures fluctuate and layering is  recommended. Wearing comfortable  shoes and socks is recommended. Some  volunteers will be working outside, so be  prepared for the temperamental March  weather.  If you will be working before  you receive your credential (for example,  you may be waiting for a music badge, but  working during Interactive) you will need to  pick up a working volunteer day pass from  your crew chief. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Lounges Crew: As long as volunteers have a great attitude,  and are responsible and friendly, the  Lounges Crew Chiefs will always have your  back.  Lounges Crew is truly a tight team  who have fun and work well together. How to Contact the Lounges Crew: Volunteers who work on the Lounges Crew  are asked to first email the crew chiefs if  you are going to be late, miss a shift or  need other assistance, time permitting. The  Lounges Crew email is sxlounges@gmail. com.  If it's less than 2 hours prior to the  start of your shift, email your crew, then call  the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if  you're going to be late or miss the shift.
