29 CONVENTION CENTER STAGE CREW Convention Center Stage Crew Chiefs: Amy, Beth, Brian Convention Center Stage Days of Operation: March 16-19, 2016 Convention Center Stage Check In: Volunteers for this crew will check in at the  Radio Day Stage in Ballroom D. Convention Center Stage Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: Our crew assists the stage managers with a  variety of needs at the Radio Daystage and  International Stage located in the Austin  Convention Center. This job might require  you to lift heavy equipment during set  changes. Duties include load-in and load- out of the bands, assisting with band set-up  as directed, and securing the backstage  area to ensure only properly credentialed  people are allowed access. Volunteers may  assist sponsors as requested, and help  maintain the appearance of the stages.  Convention Center Stage Crew Attire and Reminders: Convention Center Stage Crew Volunteers  should wear their SXSW Volunteer t-shirt,  tasteful bottoms and comfortable shoes.  There is a lot of standing and walking. If  you will be working before you receive  your credential (for example, you may be  waiting for a music badge, but working  during Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from Volunteer  Central. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Convention Center Stage Crew: The Daystage and International Stage are  both really fun stages to work. We get a lot  of well-known and unique bands. While this  crew does work a lot with load-in and out  of the artists, you also get to hear some of  the music. Make sure you wear earplugs if  you're sensitive to loud sounds.  How to Contact the Convention Center Stage Crew: Volunteers on this crew can contact the  crew chiefs at their email sxdaystage@ gmail.com before the event or once onsite  please text both crew chiefs. If it's less than  2 hours prior to the start of your shift, email  your crew, then call the Flake Task Force at  (512) 404-4623 if you're going to be late or  miss the shift.
