Five finalists from each of the awards' 13 categories (including VR & AR, 3D printing, health & med tech, digital design and more) will exhibit their entries in this demo event open to all Interactive, Gold, and Platinum badgeholders. Participants will demo their product, service or app in the pre-function area of the Hilton Downtown Austin. The Spotlight coincides with the popular Music Startup Village programming, where VCs, entrepreneurs and the tech-minded music industry will be learning and networking in sessions across the hall: Tuesday, March 15, 4 – 6pm at the Hilton Downtown Austin. SXSW VR/AR Track Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are technologies that could soon revolutionize our world much like the smart- phone did just a decade ago, and SXSW is proud to introduce a new programming track dedicated exclusively to these unique technologies. Join us from March 16-18 as we explore the worlds of VR and AR. The SXSW VR/AR programming track will be available to all badge holders: sxsw.com/interactive/convergence/vr-ar-track. SXSW Interactive Featured Speakers SXSW Interactive Featured Sessions present a snapshot of the most transformative ideas shaping our collective future. SXSW Gaming Moves Dates & Location After being headquartered in the Palmer Events Center for the past several years, SXSW Gaming 2016 will move to the Austin Convention Center and take place concurrently with the SXSW Music festival from March 17-19.
