SouthBites 2016 to Feature Anthony Bourdain Now a Convergence track, SouthBites will take place from Saturday, March 12 - Monday, March 14, and is open to all SXSW badges. SouthBites assembles the culinary world's most inspired speakers, chefs, film- makers and enthusiasts to explore ways that technology can transform the food industry. SX Create Moves to Palmer Events Center SX Create presented by Dremel moves to the Palmer Event Center for SXSW 2016, which means more space and more hands-on excitement. This three-day, com- munity-driven event explores the lifecycle of hardware creativity and manufacturing with panel sessions, hang outs and the Creator's Pavilion. New for 2016, the Robot Ranch will showcase robotics companies who will introduce a selection of robots to visitors. At Robot Ranch, attendees can also build robots at the Craft Station, safely fly drones with Drone Wrangling, and learn the basics of robotic engineering in the Robot Nature Center. SX Create and The Robot Ranch will take place March 11–13: sxsw.com/exhibitions/sx-create Music Gear Expo - New Location 2016 marks 30 years of SXSW Music and the 7th year of the SXSW Music Gear Expo. The 2016 Expo will expand into a larger space located in Exhibit Halls 3 & 4, to be shared with the Flatstock Poster Show and Flatstock Stage. 2015's Expo attracted over 55,000 attendees, and we expect even more at 2016's show. SXSW Eco 2015 SXSW Eco (October 5-7) registrants enjoyed inspiring panels, workshops and networking events to advance solutions that drive economic, environmental and social change. Keynote talks ranged from the futuristic solutions of providing resources for humans in space with Chris Lewicki (Planetary Resources), Hyperloop transporta- tion with Dirk Ahlborn (Hyperloop Transportation Technologies), sustainable food of the future with Isha Datar (New Harvest), the future of Clean Energy with James Redford (The Redford Center) and human-centered design for social impact solutions with Krista Donaldson (D-Rev).
