We loved seeing so many of our labels, artists, retail partners, colleagues, and friends catching up, sharing ideas, plotting success for the year ahead, and generally having a blast. - Jaclyn Bartsch (The Orchard) T he fascination is that when I came to Austin, I instantly felt like home. I found all of them, at the same time: creatures full of enthusiasm and positive energy, always smiling, eternal romantics. There is no place on earth like this: one city, one vision, millions of dreamers, same soul! - Katia Giampaolo (Manager for show- casing band Joycut: Bologna, Italy) W e met and were able to play for people from all over the world. It was extremely interesting and fun to exchange words with the girls from South Korea. They tried to tell us they loved dancing to the rhythm of our band. When we returned to Colombia, we discovered several write-ups about our performance in Korean. - Zionstereo (showcasing artist: Cali, Colombia) I jumped into the SXSW portal this year and never wanted to leave. I had a chance to witness a rawer more edgier side of several artists whom I enjoy. The energy of the festival just brings it out! - Liv Warfield (showcasing artist) A fter our last show, a nice gentlemen from the audience comes to talk to us. He tells us that he is having a party at his house right away and that he'd love for us to be there. We gratefully accepted. We didn't know who he was, but we ended up playing an acoustic show at Lance Armstrong's ex mansion. - Coffeehouse (showcasing artist: Santiago, Chile) Friday, March 20 – Sunday, March 22
