It is a member of Confindustria and IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industries) and it represents the most important music producers and distributors, not to mention some 2500 labels. is the Italian government organization which promotes the internationalisation of the Italian companies, in line with the strategies of the Ministry for Economic Development. The ITA Los Angeles Office, has a program of activities to promote the Italian Audiovisual Industry in the US through a dedicated project that has been operating over more than a decade. Puglia Sounds, set up in 2010 and funded by ERDF, is the first public project in Italy targeted to developing the whole regional music sector. Puglia Sounds promotes also Medimex, the Expo of Music innovation, Italy's only music market fair. In just four editions Medimex has become an economic and cultural reference for the Italian and international operators and music businesses, big names in music, festivals, networks and media.
