The SXXpress (South By Express) Pass allows badgeholders to go straight to the front of the line at up to two SXSW Music venues per night. You can pick up a SXXpress Pass on the upper level of the Austin Convention Center near Room 15. Passes are available day of show only, and the name on the pass must match the registration badge. Please note that the passes do not guarantee entry to venues that are at capacity. Free Outdoor Stage Shows Return to Auditorium Shores The Auditorium Shores Stage on Lady Bird Lake returns with a three-day series of free-to-the-public, charity beneficiary con- cert events with the beautiful Austin skyline serving as the backdrop. It is SXSW's largest stage with more than 50,000 attendees over three days. This year's shows will take place today (Thursday, March 19) through Saturday. Music Videos at SXSW Film Did you know we have an acclaimed pro- gram of Music Video screenings? There are screenings today (Thursday) at 3:30pm at the Vimeo Theater (inside the Austin Convention Center), and on Saturday at 3:30pm at the Alamo Ritz (320 E. 6th St.). SXSW PanelPicker This Summer Community participation is the lifeblood of SXSW and its daytime programming. If you want to be a part of all the great content at SXSW Interactive, Film and Music in 2016, enter your session idea into the SXSW PanelPicker this summer. The SXSW PanelPicker is a unique interface that allows members of the digital community to propose ideas for solo, dual and panel sessions at SXSW 2016. Music Gear Expo Features Drop by the Music Gear Expo in the Austin Convention Center to explore a selection of new hands-on features. The non-profit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus mobile recording studio and production facility will be located inside the Expo as a featured stop on the 75th Anniversary Tour. The Shred Shed, presented by Paul Reed Smith Guitars, is outfitted with soundproof booths, amps and guitars, allowing players to crank up the volume to 11! The App Annex gives you hands- on access to cutting-edge music creation apps, allowing users to interface with everything from virtual guitars, keyboards and drums to mixing and DJ software. The StompBox is guitar pedal nirvana with hundreds of pedals from top manu- facturers that you can plug in and play. The Synth Space showcases modern and vintage synths. Located in Exhibit Hall 5 of the Austin Convention Center, the Gear Expo is open to all SXSW regis- trants and the general public (with a guest pass).
