C O M PREVIEW GUIDE Travel & Transportation The Austin Convention Center is the hub of all things SXSW, and attendees can walk or bike to most of the other content spread around downtown Austin. There are many other available options for attendees to get around SXSW. Shuttles, buses, pedicabs and the occasional taxi can all help get you to where you need to go in a timely manner. SXSW Festival Shuttles The SXSW Festival Shuttle is the free circulating shuttle that runs between the Austin Convention Center and most Interactive Festival venues. Shuttles leave the convention center every 15 minutes. Two routes make the system easy to navigate and offer an efficient and cost-free way to get around downtown. Catch the SXSW Festival Shuttle outside the convention center on Trinity Street. TMS Hotel Shuttle Passes TMS Hotel Shuttle is offering SXSW attendees a reasonable cost shuttle service to the Austin Convention Center and most official hotels outside of the easily walkable downtown area. Capital Metro Bus Service & Airport Flyer Capital Metro Bus Service is the least expensive way to get around Austin. Daily passes cost just $2, and a variety of stored-value and multi-day passes are available. The Airport Flyer runs every 40 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to within walking distance of most downtown hotels and the Austin Convention Center. Bicycles come complete with lights, lock and front basket and are available for use throughout downtown. Stop by the official SXcycles station for a quick break in between events, and don't forget to ask for your complimentary day pass! Pedicabs Pedicabs operate throughout Austin day and night, mostly in the Central Business District, Rainey Street, and East 6th Street area. Pedicab drivers are licensed and regulated by the City of Austin Ground Transportation Department and usually work for tips or charge a per block fare.
