NEW FOR 2010 With exciting opportunities for both business and social engagement, the SXSW Trade Shows give exhibitors and registrants the chance to interact on multiple levels. As always, there are a lot of changes happening at SXSW 2010, and the Trade Shows are no exception. Along with some general highlights, below you will find some of the newest developments to the SXSW Trade Shows and beyond. THE TRADE SHOWS HAVE MOVED! Due to continued growth, the bustling SXSW Trade Shows will now be featured on the first floor of the Austin Convention Center in Exhibit Hall 4. This expanded location will not only allow a more dynamic space for exhibi- tors but will also provide the easiest access for both clients and registrants. The Music Trade Show is open to all SXSW badges plus Artist Wristbands. Access For Artist Wristbands At SXSW 2010, each member of official showcasing acts will be granted entry to a wide range of events. Artist wristbands will enable access to the Music Trade Show, Artist Lounge, Artist Village and Artist Lounge After Dark, as well as SXSW panels, talks and interviews, including the Keynote Address. WANTED HELP 62 Who's Hiring Board Need a new A&R rep? Looking for a media-savvy programmer? How about an experienced gaffer? This new fea- ture of the SXSW Trade Shows is an actual board where exhibitors will be posting hiring notices. Music Trade Show Access for Film, Gold, and Interactive Badges If you are coming to Austin for the Film + Interactive Trade Show, stick around a few more days. Your Film, IA or Gold Badge grants you full access to the Music Trade Show too. Gear Alley Expo Located in Ballroom F on the fourth floor of the Austin Convention Center, this exciting exhibit will feature the leading names in music gear from the likes of Audio- Technica and Ableton, to Fender and Korg USA. Head to Ballroom F to see latest innovations and more. SXSW ORLD / F EBRUAR Y 2010 The Gear Alley Performance Stage Located adjacent to the Gear Alley Expo and the Artist Lounge on the fourth floor, this stage will offer showcasing musicians a chance to test out the latest gear from manufacturers in an informal set- ting.
