The capital region of Germany is a creative metropolis known as a meeting point for creative professionals.In the past several years, Berlin- Brandenburg recorded tremendous growth in all sectors of the creative industries, helped especially by close links to the area's media industry. Berlin MusicWeek The first-ever Berlin Music Week took place September 6 - 12, 2010. Coordinated by the Kulturprojekte Berlin as well as networks Berlin Music Commission and Clubcommission, with support from the Senate Electronic Beats Electronic Beats (EB) is the international music and lifestyle program by Telekom, bringing live music and club events to different European cities. All activities share a virtual home at electronicbeats.net. Headquarter Entertainment After 13 years, Headquarter Entertainment books 90 artists from around the world and presents some 400 shows per year internationally. Department for Economy, Technology and Women's Issues, the event brought together players from all branches of Berlin music industry. In the clubs, on the Spree, and on the streets, Berlin Music Week converted the city into a stimulating music metropolis. Tempelhof Airport provided one focus for the 2010 Berlin Music Week, as Popkomm, all2gethernow and the Berlin Festival were pre- sented together. Meanwhile, the whole city enjoyed a multitude of live and club events as well as sector-specific festivals. "Berlin is and always has been the place to be for music," raved Harald Wolf, Senator for Economy, Technology and Women's Issues. Berlin Music Week 2011 is scheduled for September 7 -11 !K7Records The !K7 Label Group currently is running three independent labels that cross musical spectrums with !K7 (electronic), Gold Dust (hip-hop) and STRUT (funk/soul/disco). all2gethernow all2gethernow (a2n) is a platform and participatory event for new thoughts, actions and collaborations in music business and culture. The a2n 2010 was part of Berlin Music Week. AUPEO! Founded in 2008 in Berlin, AUPEO! is the leading provider of per- sonalized audiostreams for Internet-capable hardware devices. The recommendation technology is based on an algorithm from the Fraunhofer Institute, inventors of the MP3. Berlin Music Commission The Berlin Music Commission, founded in 2007, is the first network for the Berlin music industry and currently has 45 small and medium- sized companies as members. Bingo Merch Bingo Merch helps bands get great quality, affordable shirts made and helps plan and coordinate merchandising for their European tours. The company also has a webshop, frocksteady.com, where fans can purchase shirts, hoodies, music, and other band-related goodies.
