International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam IDFA is the ideal meeting place for film professionals and the key launch pad for independent documentary films. The festival has a special section for Music Documentaries and is also open to interactive and transmedia documentary projects, which can be submitted to our new media program IDFA DocLab. IDFA DocLab IDFA's new media program DocLab was founded in 2007, and is one of the world's leading showcase platforms for interactive art and immersive non- fiction storytelling. As part of the IDFA festival, DocLab annually presents a competition, live events and an exhibition – open to anything ranging from VR and AI experiments to live performances and data art.
