Four all-star sets punctuate the event, including Lone Star song laureate Billy Joe Shaver and his band, homegrown artists like Gary Clark Jr., Phranchyze and Elias Haslanger, covers of Texas standards by Gina Chavez, Dana Falconberry and more, and a tribute to Ian McLagan featuring Patty Griffin, Alejandro Escovedo and the Bump Band. Film Conference in Full Swing Don't forget, the SXSW Film Conference is in full swing through Tuesday. Highlights over the next few days include: "A Conversation with Amy Schumer," "Ex Machina: Alex Garland & the Seductive Enigma of A.I.," "Infinity and Beyond: Pixar and 20 Years Since Toy Story" and "Boyhood Post-Production: 13th Year of a 12 Year Movie." Diverse Selection of World Music Showcases at SXSW Music The SXSW Music Festival takes pride in programming the best collection of artists from all over the world. This year's presenters include Sounds from Uruguay, Sounds from Spain, the first-ever Pakistan showcase at SXSW, globalFEST, Trinidad and Tobago, Japan Nite, SXAmericas: Kichink On, KOCCA and more. This Convergence track is open to ALL BADGES, and explores the changing landscape of television consumption and content creation. Highlights include: "Audience Participation in the Digital Age" on Monday at 11am (San Jacinto Room), "Game of Thrones Immersive Experience" on Monday at 5pm (Ballroom AB), "Hollywood to Silicon Valley: Making a Megahit" on at 9:30am (Ballroom AB), and YouTube star Tyler Oakley talking about how to build an audience online, Tuesday at 11am (Ballroom AB).
