C O M First SXSW 2015 Film Conference Keynote and Sessions Announced In 2014, SXSW Film hosted daily Keynote sessions for the first time, featuring Lena Dunham, Jason Blum, Casey Neistat and Marc Webb. 2015 will feature prolific actor, writer, director and producer Mark Duplass, speaking on Sunday, March 15. A regular SXSW Film alum starting in 2005, Duplass embodies the SXSW Film spirit as a multifaceted auteur and entrepreneur successfully navigating a multitude of entertainment mediums. Additional early sessions announced include: "10 Lessons From a Decade Behind the Scenes at Pixar" presented by Pixar's documentary team; "So You Want to Make a Midnight Movie?" fea- turing advice from Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing, Snoot Entertainment and XYZ Films; Skywalker Sound will again bring its renowned sound designers for "Setting the Tone: Evoking Emotion Through Sound." Sessions take place from Friday, March 13 - Tuesday, March 17 at the Austin Convention Center. Keynotes will be held daily at 11am in the Vimeo Theater, Saturday - Tuesday. SXSW Music to Host First Ever Pakistan Showcase Continuing to expand our world music programming, SXSW is excited to present a show- case of artists from Pakistan, representing a range of styles. From the eastern regions of Tharparker and Siakolt, and making their first visit outside of Pakistan, will be Mai Dhai and Sain Tanveer Brothers, performing ancient and mystical Sufi temple music. Fusion bands Khumariyaan and Poor Rich Boy both recently participated in the Center Stage project. The show will also feature Haroon, founder of the famed 90's pop group Awaz and, more recently, creator and director of the animated TV series Burka Avenger. Mekaal Hasan Band will bring their particular flavor of Sufi/Rock fusion. Stay tuned for details! SXSWedu 2015 Programming Announced The SXSWedu Conference & Festival has released the first round of programming for 2015. Visit to view sessions selected from over 1,000 proposals. SXSW V2V Moves to Bellagio Las Vegas for 2015 After two great years at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, SXSW V2V is moving to the Bellagio Las Vegas. Innovative startups, creative entre- preneurs, motivated investors, experienced mentors and many amazing speakers will con- verge in Las Vegas, July 19-22, 2015. Startup Village Hub The Startup Village Hub is a new designated workspace and lounge that will enable entrepreneurs to connect, hold meetings or just relax.
