Any Platinum or Music registrants can play in the tournament, along with performing artists with artist wristbands; one player per band. Barbecue is free to Music and Platinum Badges and open to the general public (with food and soft drink tickets available for sale for $15). Registrants must bring their badge and photo ID. More info at SECOND PLAY STAGES IN SELECT HOTELS SXSW takes pride in presenting bonus shows by a number of its best Music Fest showcasing artists in some of the nicest hotel lounges in Austin. Lucy Rose (UK), HEX (NZ), and Tiny Ruins (NZ), join local artists Lola Tried, Harry Edohoukwa, and Middlespoon together with a host of other international and US artists to perform intimate sets at 15 different hotels. Come watch these artists play early evening shows at our SXSW Second Play Stages. Sanctioned by SXSW and hosted by specific hotels, these shows are free and open to the public and all badges.
