The SXSW Music Festival would not be possible without the tireless efforts of the SXSW Music Venue Volunteers. Working with bands before the festival, maintaining your showcase schedule, and providing a safe environment will ensure that your performers and audience will have a great experience at SXSW. SXSW Stage Managers act as the liaison between SXSW Staff, venue, production personnel, performers and their representatives, and volunteer stage crew. SXSW Stage Managers are awarded a SXSW Platinum Badge that allows full access into the SXSW Conference & Festivals. The information found in this packet will assist SXSW Stage Managers with their responsibilities before, during, and after the festival. Use this packet as a guide to understand when and who to communicate with in order to advance SXSW Showcases. In order to effectively carry out the stage manager role, SXSW Stage Managers should: - Have a cell phone - Daily access to the Internet and a computer. Computer access is necessary to successfully accomplish your role as a SXSW Stage Manager. - E-mail that is checked and responded to daily - Attend all scheduled trainings
