Have Your Say: PanelPicker Launches Monday, June 14 Is there something in particular you'd like to see at the 2011 SXSW Interactive festival? Do you know what is the next trend in the mobile computing industry? Do you know the next techno- logical advance that will aid nonprofit businesses? Do you just want to make your voice heard on what is shown at the 2011 event? No matter what, we want to hear from you. The majority of our daytime programming comes via suggestions from the Interactive community. All proposals are posted to the SXSW PanelPicker (panelpicker.sxsw.com), where they are evaluated by the community, SXSW Advisory Board and SXSW Staff. The submission process for the 2011 event starts on Monday, June 14. Catch Audio and Video of Your Favorite 2010 Daytime Sessions With the massive amount of daytime content at SXSW Interactive in 2010, there was bound to be something that you wanted to see but missed. Or even worse, you were not able to make it to Austin this year. Never fear: plenty of audio and video content from this year's event is available online for your viewing pleasure. Everything appears on the Videos & Podcasts page on the SXSW Interactive website (2010.sxsw.com/interactive/ news/videos_and_podcasts) and the Bits & Bytes blog (sxsw.com/interactive). Enter Your Favorite SXSW Interactive The 2010 Interactive Competition Winners Competitions in August Some of the many highlights at SXSW Interactive every year include the competitions that shed light on the Interactive industry's newest talent and ideas. The three competi- tions at SXSW Interactive are the SXSW Web Awards, the Screenburn at SXSW Game Design Competition and Accelerator at SXSW. The pro- cess to participate in each of these competitions starts in August when the SXSW 2011 website opens for business. Stay tuned to the SXSW Interactive Bits & Bytes blog for more information. If you are curious about who took home the top prizes in our 2010 competitions at the SXSW Interactive festival, we have the information you need. At the SXSW Web Awards, Wolfram Alpha took home the big prize as the winner of the Best of Show award and the Techni- cal Achievement category, and Cornify was chosen as the winner of the People's Choice awards. Other winners can be found at sxsw.com/interactive/ webawards/winners. At the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator at SXSW show- case, Siri won the Innovative Web Category. In the Entertainment category, ShopSavvy took home the top prize. In the two Social Media categories, Mobile Roadie was the Business Social Media win- ner, while Bump won the Personal Social Media category. In the ScreenBurn at SXSW Game Design Competition Sponsored by USA Network, Escape from Planet Zero by Lance Myers was named the winner in the Casual Game cat- egory.
