New Films from Errol Morris and Morgan Spurlock SXSW FILM News + Notes SXXpress Pass The SXXpress Pass offers Film, Gold and Platinum Badgeholders the ability to pick up two tickets per day that allow them to go to the head of the line at specifi c screenings. A limited number of tickets is available the day of the screening only and must be used in combination with a registration badge. The SXXpress pass does not guar- antee you a seat, so still plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to a screening to ensure entry. SXXpress passes will be distributed through March 15 from 10am - 5pm on the upper level of the Austin Convention Center near the Film panels rooms. Shuttles For badgeholders only, hop a ride on the complimentary Film Shuttles. Brought to you this year by the New York Film Academy and Fubar: Balls to the Wall, these compli- mentary buses can take you from the ACC to one of four designated fi lm stops around town. Shuttles run daily from 10am - 2am. Errol Morris and Morgan Spurlock hit SXSW with their latest documentaries, Tabloid and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, respectively. "Fully fi nanced through product placement," The Greatest Movie Ever Sold screens today, March 13 at 4:15pm at the Paramount Theatre (713 Congress Ave.). Tabloid explores the "Case of the Manacled Mormon" on Monday, March 14 at 4:30pm, also at the Paramount. As always, see schedule.sxsw.com for details or get SXSW GO, the SXSW 2011 mobile app, at sxsw.com/mobile. Rollins and Vimeo Theater Screenings The Vimeo Theater in the Austin Convention Center seats up to 600 people and plays host to our Documentary Competition fi lms in a custom-built, HD equipped setting that also will serve as the venue for the SXSW 2011 Film Awards on Tuesday, March 15. See for yourself in Hall #5 of the ACC! LBF New for 2011, the Rollins Theatre at the Long Center will screen a number of our shorts programs, as well as Lone Star States programming, Spotlight Premieres such as LBF and Undefeated, and Special Events including The Meme-ing of Life. It is easily accessed on the shuttle route or is just a short walk from downtown Austin Queue Cards We have made some exciting improvements to our admission procedure for 2011. If you have a badge and you want to ensure that you get a seat at the State Theatre or any Alamo Drafthouse Theater, show up early (45 minutes to one hour before screening time) to get a numbered Queue Card. This will ensure your admission as long as you stay in line at the venue. We will seat badgeholders fi rst, then passholders, then sell single-admission tickets if seats remain, 15 minutes before showtime.
