MY FIRST MORNING IN AUSTIN, I went for a run in the mud and the rain. By the time I got back to the car I was an almighty muddy starving mess. I called an audible and headed to the grocery store, where I was half expecting dirty looks as I dripped sweat and mud around the place. But I knew Austin was an awesome place when the checkout woman sized me up and said: "Ooh, where'd you go running?"
