216 SXSW Art Program OPTIC OBSCURA by Raum Industries Optic Obscura is an interactive installation investigating the concepts of interface, connectivity, and abstraction. In this work, optical fiber, a telecommunications tool central to modern communication but generally unseen, is brought to the forefront as an artistic medium. ACC, Room 3 | Friday–Saturday, March 10-18 | 10:00am-7:00pm (Closes at 6:00pm on March 17) INFINITY ROOM by Refik Anadol This project, with 'infinity' chosen as a concept, is a radical effort to deconstruct the framework of this illusory space and transgress the normal boundaries of the viewing experience to set out to transform the conventional flat cinema projection screen into a three dimensional kinetic and architectonic space of visualisation by using contemporary algorithms.
