INTERACTIVE FESTIVAL March 10–14, 2017 FILM FESTIVAL March 10–18, 2017 The SXSW Interactive Festival provides a variety of compelling evening networking experiences that complement the many learning opportunities at the SXSW Conference. The evening networking events that make up the SXSW Interactive Festival range from parties to award presentations — and almost everything in between. On Friday evening, March 10, don't miss the SXSW Interactive Festival Opening Party. This event provides a great venue to make connections that will serve you for the next few days — and beyond. Award ceremonies that are part of the SXSW Interactive Festival honor some of the industry's most important innovators. Catch the winners at events such as the ReleaseIt at SXSW Awards, the SXSW Accelerator Awards, the SXSW Community Service Awards, and the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards. The SXSW Film Festival celebrates vision and talent both behind and in front of the camera. Featuring provocative documentaries, outrageous comedies, genre outliers, and more, the festival is known for the high caliber and diversity of films presented, and for its smart, enthusiastic audiences. The full lineup includes 85 World Premieres, 11 North American Premieres, 5 U.S. Premieres, and 51 films from first-time filmmakers. These films were selected from a pool of 2,432 feature-length film submissions, with a total of 7,651 films submitted for consideration.
