SXSW GUIDEBOOK 2017 4 7 SXSW CONFERENCE POV by Nick Verstand, Nikki Hock, Pandelis Diamantides POV (Point Of View) is an audiovisual installation that lets you tangibly experience the flexibility of your perception. Two eight-meter diameter octagonal light sculptures and an eight-speaker ambisonic surround system animate light and sound around you to create a truly immersive sensory experience. This installation is supported by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York. Hilton Austin Downtown Hotel, Room 412 Saturday–Friday, March 11-16 10:00am-6:00pm HOPE OUTDOOR GALLERY WALLS The HOPE Outdoor Gallery is a community art park in Austin, TX. It provides muralists, street artists, and education groups the opportunity to display outdoor art driven by positive and educational messaging. ACC, Trade Show Sunday–Tuesday, March 12-14 10:00am-6:00pm Wednesday, March 15 10:00am-2:00pm The SXSW Art Program, now in its first year, creates a platform for visual artists to connect with international leaders in the fields of music, film, and technology through innovative project showcases. Come experience one-of-a-kind art installations by both established and emerging artists. TRIPH An Installation by Circus Family An immersive light experience in which the audience directs the intensity of audio and colors by simply approaching or moving around in between the shapes and the installation. In depicting the invisible concept of time, this work is able to more clearly express the relationship between time and movement, and attempts to capture the beauty and nature of time itself. 3D print supported by DMM.make.
