SXSW GUIDEBOOK 2017 2 9 SXSW CONFERENCE BOOK READINGS SXSW Book Readings at SXSW last 20 minutes and showcase the latest, most innovative titles related to all things SXSW, from Entrepreneurialism to Health and MedTech, and everything in between. BOOK SIGNINGS SXSW Book Signings are held at the SXSW Bookstore, which is located on the 3rd Level atrium landing of the ACC. Be sure to check the online schedule or SXSW GO app for a complete list of all SXSW Book Signings. These are a great way to meet your favorite author, and take home a signed copy of their work, the perfect reminder of your time at SXSW! MEET UP SESSIONS Meet Ups are an essential and relaxed way to stay connected with the vibrant SXSW community, and mix and mingle with music, film, and tech industry professionals. MENTOR SESSIONS Mentor Sessions offer one-on-one interaction with professionals from all aspects of the music, film, and interactive industries. Advance sign-up is required and access is limited by badge type. ROUND TABLES Exclusive to Film and Platinum badgeholders, Round Tables are an extension of our popular Mentor Sessions. In each session there will be three round tables, each with one to two industry experts and seven attendees. Experts will spend 20 minutes at each table so they will be able to converse with all of the attendees that sign up for each sessions. Like Mentor Sessions, advance sign-up is required. WORKSHOPS Hands-on, in-depth workshops offer advanced level information that revolves around a particular topic or skill and enable SXSW registrants to gain more expertise in their particular area of interest. These sessions vary from two to four hours. Advance sign-up is required and access is limited by badge type. DEMO LISTENING & PITCH SESSIONS Demo Listening Sessions provide artists and registrants direct feedback from music professionals such as producers, A&R reps, publicists and venue talent buyers. Music Supervisor Pitch Sessions offer the same sort of feedback from licensing, sync, and music supervision experts who provide honest opinions on licensing music to film, commercials, TV and more. We will be accepting music submissions prior to the 2016 SXSW Music Conference.
