56 SOFTBALL Softball Crew Chief: Brenda Softball Days of Operation: March 5, and 18 – 20, 2016 Softball Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will  check in at Krieg Fields, located at 517  Pleasant Valley in east Austin. Softball Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: The Softball Crew covers a variety of  responsibilities including gatekeeper,  equipment checkout/check-in, shuttles  attendants, Green/Clean Team members,  photo wrangler, player check-in, and being  a TABC beer & beverage server, to name a  few. In the days before the game, there is a  need for volunteers to register players and  assign them to teams. Softball Crew Attire and Reminders: Softball Volunteers should wear the SXSW  Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful bottoms.  Volunteers will be working outside, so be  prepared for changes in the weather, from  hot to cold, wet to dry and everything else  in between. Remember, Austin weather in  March can sometimes be unpredictable and  dressing in layers is a good idea. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Softball Crew: Softball is the closing party of the event.   Registrants head home after this event, so  it's the volunteer's job to put on the best  closing party ever, so attendees will be  pumped to attend the event next year.
