25 BANNERS Banners Crew Chiefs & Staff: Todd, Kim, Ryan, Sean, Jeanette, Leslie,  Katy, Lisa Banners Days of Operation: March 6 – 20, 2016 Banners Check In: Volunteers who work on this crew will  check-in at Production Village in Exhibit Hall  5 in the Austin Convention Center.  Exhibit  Hall 5 is located on the northeast side of the  ACC, near the corner of 4th Street and  Red River. Banners Crew Duties/Areas of Responsibility: The Banners crew operates throughout  SXSWedu and SXSW.  Walking or  driving, volunteers work in teams and are  responsible for hanging signage at all official  SXSW venues. The crew works closely with  SXSW Staff and other volunteer teams to  ensure proper banner placement.   Banners Crew Attire and Reminders: Banners Volunteers should wear the  SXSW Volunteer t-shirt and tasteful  bottoms. The temperature in the venues  fluctuates and layering is recommended.  Wearing comfortable shoes and socks  is recommended as there will be a lot of  walking. You may be working on a ladder, so  closed toed shoes are a must.  No sandals  or flip-flops of any kind may be worn.  If  you will be working before you receive  your credential (for example, you may be  waiting for a music badge, but working  during Interactive) you will need to pick up a  working volunteer day pass from volunteer  central. What Else Should Volunteers Know About the Banners Crew: Banners volunteers are a mobile group and  get to experience SXSWedu and SXSW in  a very unique way; seeing the event in a  different light.   How to Contact the Banners Crew: Volunteers who work on the Banners Crew  are asked to first email the crew chiefs if  you are going to be late, miss a shift or  need other assistance, time permitting. The  Banners Crew email is sxbanners@gmail. com.  If it's less than 2 hours prior to the  start of your shift, email the crew, then call  the Flake Task Force at (512) 404-4623 if  you're going to be late, or miss the shift.
