On June 29, our official sub- mission platform Sonicbids will be ready to begin accepting artists' EPKs for consideration for an official showcase spot at the festival's next edition. Instagram launches @music Putting a spotlight on its music community, Instagram launched the new @music account at the end of April. Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom said that the account will be "dedicated to exploring music around the globe, from those who create it to the community around it." SXSW's own Instagram account (@SXSW) will be participating in this new endeavor, espe- cially as we introduce new, up-and-coming artists in the lead-up to SXSW 2016. Big Debut for Music Gear Expo's Synth Space Synth lovers gravitated to the first ever Synth Space at the SXSW Music Gear Expo, where they sampled a selection of new and vintage synthe- sizers from Yamaha, Arturia, Roland, Novation, Dave Smith Instruments, Korg, Moog, Teenage Engineering, Dr Bleep and Austin Hot Mods.
