Simmons will take part in the "YouTube - New Breeding Ground for Music's Future" session today (Thursday, March 13) from 3:30-4:30pm in ACC room 16AB. Catch up on Buzz Films with Buzz Screenings! SXSW PanelPicker Opens This Summer Community participation is the lifeblood of SXSW and its daytime programming. If you want to be a part of all the great content at SXSW in 2015, submit your session idea to the SXSW PanelPicker this summer. The SXSW PanelPicker is a unique interface that allows members of the digital com- munity to submit their ideas for SXSW daytime programming, or browse through submitted pro- posals and vote on which ideas they like best. To find out when the SXSW PanelPicker is live and open for business, stay tuned to sxsw.com. Lou Reed Tribute SXSW will host a tribute to the late Lou Reed tomorrow evening (Friday, March 14) at the Paramount Theatre. The band will include musi- cians Richard Barone (of the Bongos), Alejandro Escovedo, Lenny Kaye and Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith Group), Clem Burke (Blondie), Ivan Julian (founding member of Richard Hell and the Voidoids), Marc Ribot (who played with Reed) and more! Renegade Craft Fair: SXSW Edition The Renegade Craft Fair features the best in indie craft and design. Swing by the Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Rd) to shop handmade and explore craft workshops, art installations and the SXSW Social Good row. Conveniently located next to the Outdoor Stage at Butler Park, this event is free and open to the public: Today (Thursday, March 13) – Saturday, March 15: 12-8pm daily. SXSW Music Gear Expo Musicians, gearheads and audiophiles unite at the annual SXSW Music Gear Expo. Free and open to all, this unique exhibition showcases the top names in instruments, amps, mics and much more! Plus, the Gear Expo Store is a one-stop- shop for the touring musician, offering strings, cables, drum heads and instruments from Gear Expo vendors. Thursday - Saturday (March 13 - 15), 11am-6pm in the ACC, Exhibit Hall 5. Music Videos at SXSW Film Did you know we have an acclaimed program of Music Video screenings? You can still catch the final program this Friday, March 14 at the Rollins Theater. This year features videos for Tame Impala, Passion Pit, Placebo and Diplo, among others. Don't miss it!
