Learn more at sxswedu.com/participate. Introducing the SXSW Gaming Awards Saturday, March 8, 2014 brings the inaugural SXSW Gaming Awards to the Long Center for the Performing Arts. The SXSW Gaming Awards honor the 2013 calendar year's best games -- from the exciting major studio releases to the most promising indie developed games -- across 15 categories. The 2014 SXSW Gaming awards are an exciting addition to the 2014 SXSW Gaming Expo, which runs March 7-9 at the Palmer Events Center (adjacent to the Long Center). SXSW Eco Celebrates a Successful Third Year The third installment of SXSW Eco (October 7-9, 2013) proved to be an exciting, inspirational and synergetic event featuring a range of leaders in design, technology, energy and more. Highlights included Shepard Fairey's keynote address, the inaugural SXSW Eco Awards, the interactive Maker Space, film screenings and nightly parties. Hunters Emerge With Album Tour On October 1, Brooklyn garage rock duo Hunters released its self-titled debut on Mom + Pop Records. The band made its SXSW debut in 2013, playing three official showcases alongside the likes of Black Lips and Hanni El Khatib. Hunters will embark on a tour with fellow SXSW alumni, punk band Audacity, starting this November. The first stop on the trip will be a Fun Fun Fun Fest Nite show here in Austin. SXSWedu 2014 Programming Announced The first round of concurrent sessions for SXSWedu 2014 have been announced! Check out the first batch of confirmed sessions, culled from more than 700 session proposals provided by its community of education innovators, at sxswedu.com/conference/sessions. Come & Capture Returns Catnip for film techies and creatives, the Come and Capture Film Factory is back for 2014 and will feature another great slate of panels, gear demos and hands-on workshops.
