F I L M A N D I N T E R AC T I V E S U N D AY, M A R C H 1 0 T H calm and experienced as Prelinger. Screening the film for the first time in the US, I didn't know what to expect. During the screening, it was impossible to focus on the screen. After the film, however, the positive environment proved my worries wrong. I was thrilled by the variety of exciting and unique interpretations voiced by the audience. What separates SXSW from most other festivals is that the boundary between the filmmakers and the audience seems to disappear. He also engaged in dialogue with the audience as the fi lm played and afterwards requested feedback and suggestions. Such communication with the artist and direct influence on the filmmaking process is a rare occasion for most of us.
