The Tiny Desk Family Hour Since 2008, Bob Boilen, host of NPR's All Songs Considered music program, has recorded and filmed intimate concerts performed by both emerging and established artists at his desk in NPR's Washington, D.C. office. In the ensuing years, the Tiny Desk Concerts series has garnered as many as 29+ million YouTube views for its most highly watched shows, even spawning its own "Tiny Desk Contest" talent search. For the first time, Tiny Desk Concerts will present The Tiny Desk Famil Hour, an official SXSW showcase, on Tuesday, March 12 at Central Presbyterian Church (200 E. 8th St.). See schedule.sxsw.com for more details. Film Venues: Atom Theater and Zach Theatre Don't miss major screenings at the Atom Theater inside the Austin Convention Center. Located in the southeast corner near the E. Cesar Chavez and Red River St. entrance, this 450 seat venue will host films such as Jump Shot, Apollo 11 and Robert Rodriguez' Red 11. ZACH Theatre (202 S. Lamar Blvd.) will also host red carpets, special events, and much more, including World Premieres for Pink Wall, Villains, and Building the American Dream. Check out the SXSW GO app for more details on venues and screenings. SXSW Podcast Stage Come watch live podcast tapings in the Brazos Room at the JW Marriott (110 E. 2nd St.). Happening daily March 8–14, the shows will cover a wide range of topics, including Mothers of the Resistance: Women Leading the Movement and Yahoo News' Skullduggery on politics; Shrink Speak on mental health; and This Song and And The Writer Is… on music. On top of that, two shows led by female comedy writers — Natch Beaut, Amber Ruffin, and Jenny Hagel Present: Late Night Trashcan — will bring the laughs. SXSW Film Keynote Speakers The ever-popular Film Keynotes return! Don't miss presentations by renaissance woman Olivia Wilde (whose directorial debut Booksmart world premieres at SXSW), Sharp Objects creator/showrunner Marti Noxon, VR and immersive storytelling pioneer Jessica Brillhart, and acclaimed filmmaker and cinematogra- pher PJ Raval.
