Monday rocks for music docs, Tuesday's a party in honor of The Chi and Black Monday, and Wednesday's wild at The SHOWTIME House of Shameless fun. BABii Rizha Bruce Mau's "Designing for the Five Senses" Presented by Freeman As a child, you experienced the world with your whole being. Bruce Mau, famed designer of human experience, invites you to revisit this time with "Designing for the Five Senses." In this groundbreaking presentation, you will reconnect with heart, mind, and memory through an orches- trated tour of all your senses that will transport you back to a time when you were discovering the world. Two limited capacity performances will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 11am and 1pm in Austin Convention Center, Room 8ABC. Second Play Stages at SXSW Music The SXSW Second Play Stage series features official SXSW Artists performing stripped-down "happy hour" sets at select Austin hotels throughout the event — an excellent opportunity to catch an act before heading out for the evening. SXSW Community Service Awards Ceremony Now in its 20th year, the SXSW Community Service Awards honor six individuals and six organizations, recognized for the compassion, care, education, and positive energy they bring to their communities. Come listen to the stories of these outstanding honorees at 10am on Sunday, March 10 at the Line Hotel (111 E. Cesar Chavez St.). This event is open to all badges, wristbands, and the general public. Safe Harbor Room Conferences and large gatherings can create a challenging atmosphere for those who choose sobriety. The Safe Harbor Room is a place for people in recovery to meet during SXSW. The sessions are informal and supportive. All are welcome to come meet with like-minded attendees March 8–16 from 6:15–7:15pm in Room 10AB at the Austin Convention Center. Startup Spotlight – New Location SXSW Startup Spotlight highlights new technology companies within SXSW's industry-specific programming tracks. This reception-style exhibition takes place in an intimate networking setting Monday, March 11, 11am–6pm in Exhibit Hall 1 at the Austin Convention Center. SXSW Wellness Expo Back for 2nd Year The SXSW Wellness Expo will bring together professionals in all fields of health and wellness. The event will feature group activities such as medita- tion, demos, and workshops on the SXSW Wellness Expo Stage; free classes from world-renowned instructors on the Fitness Stage; and highly interactive activities with industry professionals in Conscious Conversations — Saturday & Sunday, March 9 & 10, 11am–6pm at the Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Rd.).
