Additional registration services, including Speaker and Filmmaker Help Desks, will be available in Exhibit Hall 1 on the busiest days of Thursday, March 7–Saturday, March 9. To speed up registration times, please be sure to upload a clear and unob- structed passport-style photo of your face to your SXSW Social account before arriving to pick up your badge. Film Wristbands are available starting on Thursday, March 7. Artist and Music Wristband pick-up begins on Monday, March 11. SXSW Gaming Wristbands are available starting on Friday, March 15. SXSW 2019 Programming Reflects Top Trends Last fall, the SXSW programming team identified ten significant trends in the 2019 conference panels and sessions. Here are three of those trends and some selected SXSW events related to them. Read more at: sxsw.com/trends. The "Conquering an Era of Digital Distrust" trend is relevant to several pro- gramming Tracks and highlights of related sessions include: Location Privacy: Will We Ever Have it Again? featuring Laura Moy, Executive Director of the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law School, Made in China: Crypto, Exchanges, Trust and More, with Edith Yeung of 500 Startups and Jason Lau of OKCoin, and Disinformation 2019: Brands In The Crosshairs, featuring authors of the US Senate report and Brand Safety professionals discussing evolving tactics of coordinated disinformation. "The Evolving Cannabis Consumer" trend is reflected in the new Cannabusiness (Convergence) Track. Selected sessions include Can We Heal Ourselves From the War on Drugs?, The Future of Hemp and Health and Non-Obvious Trends in the Cannabis Industry. The "Blockchain is Building Web 3.0" trend is prevalent in the new Blockchain & Cryptocurrency (Interactive) Track. Selected sessions include: Blockchain vs. VC: Democratizing Access to Capital, Designing for Blockchain: Three Ways to Dive In, and Create Your Own Bitcoin with Black Girls CODE! Both the Cannabusiness and Blockchain and Cryptocurrency programming will take place from Thursday, March 14–Saturday, March 16.
