Casio Will Be at the Music Gear Expo Stop by the Music Gear Expo in the Austin Convention Center to check out Casio's new Privia Pro PX-5S stage piano as well as the XW-series synthesizers. The company will be complementing its exposition with a night of DJs and dancing scheduled for Thursday (March 14) at Haven. The lineup includes some of the biggest names in dance music. Wu Tang Update 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of Enter The 36 Chambers by the Wu Tang Clan. While all group members have ventured off to other projects, leader RZA plans for the group to reunite for one last album to be released later this year. Learn about emerging technology and design on the Next Stage in the SXSW Trade Show. Music Showcase News Indie retailer CD Baby will be presenting a showcase for the first time at SXSW Music 2013. The evening will feature Escort, The Colurs and a special reunion of SHOES. Paste Magazine will be hosting an official showcase of folk and Americana music with the help of Newport Folk Festival and Sennheiser Electronics, who are also new presenters. Canadian booking agency Sofa King Raw Entertainment, Inc. will bring the best of its electronic and hip-hop acts, including Ryan Hemsworth and BADBADNOTGOOD. Iconic indie label Kill Rock Stars will present its first official showcase in years, bringing some of its eclectic roster of artists including Marnie Stern, Kinski, Hands and Boats. Americana Music Association will feature fan favorites Richard Thompson and Emmylou Harris with Rodney Crowell at its annual Thursday night showcase (March 14) at Antone's. World music artists scheduled to perform at SXSW 2013 include Terakaft, from Kidal, Mali, showcasing its desert blues sound. From the Puglia region of Italy, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino will share Pizzica musical and dance traditions. Titi Robin Trio from Angers, France will bring its rich fusion of French, Arab and Gypsy music.
