6 SXSW GAMING AWARDS Award Categories & Nominees The 2018 SXSW Gaming Awards will host 24 unique awards categories encompassing all aspects of gaming. Of these, four categories known as the Gamer's Voice Awards are reserved exclusively for indie developers and teams, with winners determined by a public vote in the Gaming Expo.
