Key session topics include inclusion ("The $40 Trillion Dollar Market Everyone Ignores"), what makes an idea, person, or trend take off ("Trendspotting in the Last 15 Years"), the influencer movement ("If You Don't Share It, Did It Really Happen?") and podcasting ("Find an Audience, Build a Brand and Make Bank"). Don't forget that Film and Music badges get secondary access to these sessions, too. VR/AR Thursday is the last day of programming in the VR/AR track, so head over to Salons 1-2 and 3-4 at the JW Marriott (110 E 2nd St) and check out such events as "Immerse Yourself: AR & VR in Museums and the Arts" at 11am, "VR in Journalism: The Next Wave" featuring representatives from both The New York Times and The Guardian at 12:30pm, "The Next Phase of VR: Moving to MR" which will discuss the promise of "mixed reality" at 2:00pm, and "Virtual Sports Bars in Virtual Reality Stadiums" at 3:30pm. Music Culture & Stories Don't miss "From CBGB to the World: A Downtown Diaspora" happening Friday at 2pm, in Room 12AB at the Austin Convention Center. This special event will bring together members of the Talking Heads (Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth), Television (Richard Lloyd) and The dBs (Chris Stamey) to discuss CBGBs in the 1970s and the legacy of the bands who made it famous. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) CLE sessions have been a SXSW fixture for many years and happen this year Thursday through Saturday in Salon C at the Hilton Austin Downtown (500 E 4th St). Highlights of the CLE program include "Cyber Extortion: Doing Business With Crook," which will include a member of the FBI, "Music Modernization Act: Changing the Licensing Landscape" which will examine the state of music licensing legislation that is currently under congres- sional consideration, "The Rules of the Road – Current Issues in Touring" featuring a panel of experts including Natalia Nastaskin of United Talent Agency, and "Licensing Music for Social Media: A Perfect Storm," which will cover the various issues related to linking music and social media channels.
